She lives with her son and daughter-in-law, along with her granddaughter, spending her days knitting these scrubbies with care.

This makes knitting them even more meaningful and joyful for her.

 

Though the scrubby is small, it holds Grandma Yoon’s big heart and dedication.
Hours of work go into each one, filled with love and kindness for her community.

 

Today, neighbors are likely using Grandma’s scrubbies in their kitchens,
and in their hearts, they remember her with gratitude and warmth.

수세미 뜨는, 윤순임 할머니​

​

수세미(Handmade Scrubby)를 떠서 이웃들에게 나눠주시는 것이 즐겁다는 윤순임 할머니!

할머니는 아들부부와 손녀와 같이 사시면서 수세미 뜨기를 하면서 시간을 보내신다.

그리고 만나는 이웃들에게 나눠주신다고 한다. 

 

수세미는 주방에 꼭 필요한 것이다. 그래서 누구에게나 줄 수 있고, 또 받는 사람은 설거지를 할 때면 할머니를 한 번씩 떠올릴 것이다. 또 고마워 할 것이다. 

그래서 할머니에게 수세미를 만드는 것이 더 큰 즐거움이고, 더 큰 의미가 있지 않을까 싶다. 

 

작은 수세미에 담긴 할머니의  커다란 마음!

몇 시간을 떠서 완성되는 것은 작은 수세미이지만, 그 안에는  할머니의 정성과 이웃에 대한 커다란 마음이 담겨 있을 것이다.
